Boris leads ThinkFire’s business and market analysis team, which helps clients to understand the market potential for licensing/selling of their patents and develops and implements strategies for addressing these markets. He also leads identification of the companies interested in licensing/buying clients’ IP and drives the implementation process.
Prior to joining ThinkFire, Boris was a founder and COO of Velox Semiconductor, a spin-off of Emcore Corporation, during which time he negotiated and implemented Velox’s licensing agreement with STMicroelectronics, which gave Velox immediate recognition in the semiconductor power device market.
Boris was also an Engagement Manager at McKinsey & Company where he served a variety of clients in the High Tech, Internet and Pharmaceutical industries. Boris holds a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering with minor in Business Administration from Cornell University. He graduated from Prof. Eastman’s group focused on advanced semiconductor devices.
