Boris leads ThinkFire’s business and market analysis initiatives. He helps clients to understand market potential for licensing/selling of their patents and develops and implements strategies for addressing these markets. He also leads identification of the companies interested in licensing/buying client’s IP and drives the implementation process.
Boris was a founder and COO of Velox Semiconductor, a spin-off of Emcore Corporation. He negotiated and implemented Velox’s licensing agreement with STMicroelectronics, which gave Velox immediate recognition in the semiconductor power device market. Prior to Emcore/Velox Boris was Engagement Manager at McKinsey & Company where he served a variety of clients in high tech, Internet and pharmaceutical industries.
Boris holds a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering with minor in Business Administration from Cornell University. He graduated from Prof. Eastman group focused on advanced semiconductor devices.
