Richard leads ThinkFire's patent licensing and brokerage initiatives. In his capacity, Richard will work to create intellectual property monetization strategies for clients as well as aid in the strategic acquisitions of patent portfolios for choice clients. Richard brings more than 12 years of patent and technology licensing experience to ThinkFire and a track record of over $210M in licensing deals. Richard will play a key role in the development and expansion of ThinkFire’s licensing, consulting and brokering services.
Prior to joining ThinkFire, Richard held the title of Vice-President of Licensing in General Electric’s Trading and Licensing organization. At GE, Richard was responsible for leading interdisciplinary teams in the evaluation, development, and monetization strategies of patent and technology transfer licensing opportunities in a wide array of industrial and consumer electronics technologies. Richard also draws upon his patent licensing experience in telecommunications and consumer products developed while holding a senior position at Lucent Technologies and Thomson Multimedia.
Richard has a B.S. in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Stevens Institute of Technology and an MBA from Capital University.
