ThinkFire’s Trademark Licensing Value Proposition

We identify Licensor and Licensee clients and proactively seek exceptional Trademark Licensing opportunities for them.

The Objective

  • Licensors need to create new revenue opportunities but lack sufficient internal bandwidth to research, evaluate and manage new programs
  • Licensees need to improve traction in market and increase market share but lack necessary strong brand equity

The Challenge

  • Develop creative strategies to find appropriate licensing partners and create mutually beneficial licensing relationships

The ThinkFire Solution

  • We research and evaluate market/product opportunities, identify licensing partners and conduct appropriate due diligence and create and execute customized business plans

The ThinkFire Approach

Serving Licensors

ThinkFire helps to create and execute customized business plans that help clients to generate significant incremental cash flow and improve profitability by helping to better exploit underutilized IP assets.

ThinkFire uses a four-phase approach to accomplish this goal:

  • Phase 1: Classify the trademark portfolio to identify the right trademarks for licensing
  • Phase 2: Identify product categories where identified trademarks may have strong brand equity
  • Phase 3: Test brand equity in the selected product categories through analytical techniques, such as Discrete Choice Model surveys. Make recommendations for potential licensing candidates and build business cases based on survey results
  • Phase 4: Initiate, negotiate and close licensing deals on behalf of our client.

In a typical assignment, we deliver the advisory/consulting work in Phases 1-3 on a fixed fee plus costs basis, while the more time consuming and higher risk Phase 4 work is done on a contingency plus costs basis.

Serving Licensees

ThinkFire helps to create and execute customized business plans for licensing the leading US and European brands to boost our client’s sales in these regions.

ThinkFire uses a three-phase approach to accomplish this goal:

  • Phase 1: Identify the Brands/Trademarks that are appropriate for your products
  • Phase 2: Test brand equity of the selected brands in your product categories through analytical techniques, such as Discrete Choice Model surveys. Make recommendations for potential brands and build business cases based on survey results.
  • Phase 3: Initiate, negotiate and close licensing deals on behalf of our client.

In a typical assignment, we deliver the advisory/consulting work in Phases 1-2 on a fixed fee plus costs basis, while the more time consuming and higher risk Phase 3 work is done on a contingency plus costs basis.
